REVALUATION INFORMATION
The City of Portsmouth Assessor's Office has announced the commencement of property inspections within the City. Inspections are required by the New Hampshire Department of Revenue and are part of the Five-Year Assessment Review, slated for 2011. The inspections should begin in September 2008 and will conclude in September 2011.

City Clerk's Office
The Office of the City Clerk ensures the accurate and efficient production, issuance and retention of vital records and various documents in a manner such that the best interests of the citizens and the City of Portsmouth are served. The Office of City Clerk provides support services for the City Council, publishes and posts all legal notices, attends and records all actions taken by the City Council
The office files and preserves as required all contracts, bonds, agreements, ordinance book and other City documents.
The Office of City Clerk also administers and conducts elections in accordance with state and local laws.

Portsmouth's annual fireworks display is Saturday, July 3, at the South Mill Pond, located across from Portsmouth City Hall. The fireworks display starts at 9:15 pm. The rain date is Monday, July 5.
